On the second floor of a newly rennovated 'altbau' is a fully updated two-bedroom apartment of truly aristocratic proportions. It boasts original darkwood floors throughout the living and sleeping areas, with marbelled bathroom, fifteen foot ceilings, all modern conveniences (including a separate full bath-tub AND power-shower cubicle). Wireless internet and all utility bills are included with the rental, as is a local telephone facilities - a far more generous deal than the cost-pinching hotel 'extra services' and their extortionate prices.
To call the master bedroom huge would be an understatement - it comfortably sleeps six, with room for a cross-trainer, computer/work desk, wardrobe and chest-of-drawers for storage of your clothing and baggage. Despite all of this there is still plenty of room for a relaxing yoga session or game of 'twister'. The second bedroom is smaller, but retains all of the characteristic features of the apartment (wood floors, high ceilings, ornate coving). It sleeps up to four in comfort with a further wardrobe, chest-of-drawers and two tier computer/work desk.
The main living area boasts brushed leather seating around a designer Chinese laquer coffee table - space for seven or eight to sit around in comfort - watching TV, relaxing, or listening to music on the state-of-the-art hifi system. By arrangement (no extra cost) you will have access to the apartment's catalogue of CDs, DVDs, videos, and books: a movie collection many thousands strong, a thousand hand-picked music CDs covering all genres and tastes, and enough books to begin a library.
The kitchen has everything you would require - including dishwasher, two microwaves, large fridge and freezer, washing machine with dryer, all the cutlery and kitchen preparation machinery one could hope to use. It is roomy and well-aired, with views on the private garden courtyard to the rear of the apartment. The bathroom, likewise well-proportioned, is finished to the highest possible standard. All bed and bathroom linens come provided, without charge, in addition to the kitchen staples and essential toileteries.
